“I feel better, Miss Jane. Thanks for the encouraging words.” Rayasia placed her tissues in a waste basket.

“Can I get you a little something from the kitchen,” Miss Jane offered as she walked toward the bedroom door. She paused when she heard a knock on her front door. “Who can that be?” she asked. “Let me see whose at this door. Afterward I'll bring you something to eat.”

“I'll come with you.” Rayasia said. “A warm cup of milk would be nice.”

The two women walked to the front door.

“Who is it?” asked Miss Jane.

“It's me. Richard.”

“Richard Williams? Dr. Richard Williams?” asked Miss Jane.

“Yes,” replied Dr. Williams.

“What are you doing here? This time of night?” asked Miss Jane.

“I heard about what happened to Rayasia. Where is she?” replied Dr. Williams.

“She ran into the kitchen when she heard your name,” said Miss Jane.

Dr. Williams blushed then asked, “Can I have a word with her?”

“Certainly.” Miss Jane said. “Let me get her.”
